Getting Eyelash Extensions.

How to choose a quality lash artist.

Eyelash extensions have been the most requested treatment in the beauty industry for the past several years and they continue to grow in popularity. There are, however, a few of you that are still skeptical or nervous about getting them done. Let me tell you, it is NOT scary at all! In fact, it is surprisingly relaxing and enjoyable. Most clients take a nap during their lash service.

I understand the concern about finding a lash artist that is really good, so I am going to help you out by telling you exactly what to look for so you know your precious peepers are in good hands!

Here are 5 signs that your lash artist was a great choice!

First sign! Your lash artist proudly displays her certification for all to see.

An accredited education is not cheap and it is not easy. A well trained lash artist has earned the right to brag about her qualifications and should hang her certificate (or multiple certificates) where clients can see it. Go ahead and ask her about her training; she would love to tell you about the countless hours she has dedicated to practicing and perfecting her skills.

Second sign. Your lash artist will not hesitate to tell you which product line she uses.

A quality professional cares about what she uses on her clients lashes. She has done her homework and tested many brands. She chose a supplier that she believes in and will tell you all about them because she knows you will be impressed.

Third sign. She is a proud member of NALA (National Association of Lash artists).

To become a NALA Accredited Member, lash artists must pass an intense review process to be accepted. Membership is evidence of professional integrity, safe practice and exceptional skill. Members are bound to strict professional guidelines decontamination processes, and the NALA code of ethics. If your lash artist is a member, you may have peace of mind that she is committed to the highest possible standards in her practice. You will find a list of NALA Accredited Members on the Directory of Quality Lash Artists.

Fourth sign. Before and after portfolio

Your lash artist is so good at what she does, her work is displayed on her website or social media platforms. A before and after photo speaks volumes for what kind of results an artist is capable of creating.

Fifth sign. Positive reviews online.

If your lash artist is good at what she does, other people will already know that. Search for online reviews to see what others have to say. Please remember, lash pros can't please all of the people all of the time! Always read negative comments with an open mind. A bad review doesn't always mean that she is bad, just be sure there are also plenty of satisfied clients that would recommend her.

Lash extensions have the ability to make such a difference in your life. Follow these tips for finding a quality lash artist and you are sure to be ecstatic about your new luscious lashes!!
